Poop - en Espagnol

For my wife and I it's poop. For others it's #2. Parents everywhere have different ways of referring to the act of having a bowel movement when talking to their children. Most of these terms I don't mind - poop, #2, doody, poopy, crap, take a dump, drop the kids off at the pool..., the list goes on. There are, however, a couple that bother me.

"BM." Never liked BM. Probably because that's what my parents called it, and it's always an uncomfortable thing when your parents are asking you if you've "had a BM today." One of my daughter's pre school teachers called it that, and she liked to tell me every time my daughter had one. "Oh..., hi Chris. How are you? Quinn had a great day today. She painted. We read a story. She had a BM." Like it was something she was going to get a check mark on her report card for.

Kakka. I HATE kakka (or kaka or caca or cacca - however you choose to spell it). Any form of the word - kakka, kakkie. My daughter has a friend at school whose mom calls it kakka. This friend's mom is also from Argentina, and often speaks Spanish to her daughter. "Samantha's mommy calls it kakka," she said one day. The sound of the word coming out of my daughter's mouth made me cringe, until my daughter followed it up by with, "That's Spanish for poop."

My wife and I laughed our asses (butts, bottoms, rears, coolies, deiriers, bums, etc) off.

Funny dude.
We're poop people here. But I fully understand your dislike for "BM". My mother in law uses that one and I don't think I'll ever get used to it. She also refers to farting (passing gas, flatulating, passing an air biscuit, cutting the cheese, barking spiders, stepping on a duck) as "pooping" which gets really confusing when she's around. "Oh my, she just pooped on my lap" has a completely different meaning for the two of us. I'm not a big fan of kakka either..... just don't sound right, especially coming from an adult.

Funny post. :)

We're poop or poopy parents ourselves. Wait, maybe that didn't come out right...

Oh yeah, I think the actual Spanish version is spelled caca (if you care). ;-)
